Critic.Reading.Writing with Ato Quayson

hqdefaultIf you are searching for intellectual content that (mostly) has  nothing to do with Covid, subscribe to the YouTube channel Critic.Reading.Writing. The channel, created by GSA member and current President of the African Studies Association, Professor Ato Quayson, speaks to the relevance of humanities through an exploration of literature, as well as film, history and philosophy.  Professor Quayson, a professor of English at Stanford University, calls himself ‘a comparatist at heart’ and says that each episode ‘even if starting from the perspective of a particular text, will wade far and wide to bring in examples from other traditions of writing’. The weekly episodes will cover themes such as Tragedy in World Literature; the City in Literature; Literature and Ethical Judgment, and Diaspora and Literature.
