Joeva Rock wins the 2019 Boahen-Wilks Article Prize

Joeva Rock is the 2019 winner of the GSA’s Boahen-Wilks Article Prize!

The award was announced at the GSA Business Meeting on Friday, 22 November in Boston at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the African Studies Association.

Dr. Rock’s article, titled ‘We Are Not Starving’: Challenging Genetically Modified Seeds and Development in Ghana, “provides an interdisciplinary story of the history, politics and science behind the debates on GMOs in Ghana”.
